I-71 Jeremia Morrow Bridge
A long-standing slip, where the trail is slipping into the local stream, is scheduled for a much-needed crucial bank stabilization project in May and June. Work is scheduled to begin May 4th with heavy equipment blocking the trail during the week. The trail will be CLOSED in between OH-350 and Wilmington Road.
The projected end date, weather permitting is June 12th. There will be no safe passage on the side of the trail, the area is too small – and large equipment will be required and will be onsite operating. There is no appropriate detour in this area of the trail. However, it is the goal of the contractor to have the trail area passable by bike for Memorial Day weekend - Saturday May 23rd and Sunday May 24th*** and the week prior- Tuesday May 19th through Monday May 25th. The trail closes again Tuesday May 26th for construction, until completion.
