Trail Closure Notice

S. Lebanon Closure

3.5 miles between Lebanon Countryside Trail (MM 34.1) and Stubbs Mill Rd. (MM 30.6)

Beginning Monday, March 23, a section of the Little Miami Scenic Trail through South Lebanon is closed through April 1st for the South Lebanon Sewer Project.  This initial phase is for the purpose of tree removal and land preparation.

While this initial closure runs till April 1st, this is a major sewer construction project being performed by the City of South Lebanon which will impact the Little Miami Scenic Trail for over a year.  While the final schedule is not yet available, construction activity in this area may continue through July 2027. Trail users should expect ongoing impacts, changing conditions, and periodic adjustments as the project progresses. We will publish updates when we have them. For current status, contact the Little Miami State Park offices at 513-897-3055.

For the typical trail user, there is no appropriate detour around the construction area.  A possible detour north of the park uses Mason Morrow Millgrove Rd., Columbia Rd. and the Carter Park multi-use connection to the Little Miami Scenic Trail is detailed below.  However, Mason-Morrow-MillgroveRoad is a heavily traveled truck route with no shoulders for a major portion. Only experienced road cyclists use this route.

We know this is a heavily used section of trail, and we appreciate your patience as this important infrastructure project moves forward. Safety for both our visitors and construction crews is our top priority. However, on the up side, at the end of the project and the renovation of pavement by the FLMSP 2025 Repaving Campaign, the oldest section of trail will have newly renovated pavement from Morrow to Foster.
